@mairiac31 Thanks. Listening to the experience of victims and looking at how PIs were used to deter victims from going to court, was a key driver for changing this.

RT @VictimSupportNI: A positive change. Having to repeat your experience time and time again throughout the justice process can be extremely traumatic for victims. This will help to reduce the harm caused by the process of seeking justice, and hopefully encourage more victims to report crime.

@UnionistUnityNI @newsoncool @allianceparty Like I said, take it up with Sammy.

And I'd, of course, like to grow Alliance's electoral strength - at the next scheduled election on the basis of what we delivered in between.

Not by crashing the institutions and having delivered nothing.

@Redeyes1878 @DarranMarshall After 25 years, the idea institutions can't be reformed to reflect changing circumstances is nonsense.

It's especially nonsense when they have been reformed before and when the Assembly and Executive Review Committee (all party) has acknowledged the need for these reforms.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Redeyes1878 @DarranMarshall It isn't a confusing position. We opposed the protocol. The government agreed it and it became law. We support upholding the law.

We argued that any changes to the protocol needed to be negotiated and agreed with the EU, not imposed unilaterally: until then, it remains law. >

@Mawn_said @newsoncool @allianceparty Also, society has changed and progressed in the last 25 years and the need for reform has become more acute than ever, given that the cycle of crisis and collapse is getting shorter and shorter.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Mawn_said @newsoncool @allianceparty We supported the GFA but didn't support the structures as we knew they would copperfasten division and make govt unworkable: we nevertheless agreed to operate them in good faith to break the cycle of violence. We've said that before 1998 and since. >
