RT @newsoncool: “That is an absolute insult”: Dr @C_Fitz_ reacts at to the government’s announcement of £100 extra for those with home heating oil.

Our reporter @jamesgould23 also spoke to Sean who says his mental health is deteriorating due to the rising living prices.

RT @NI_WBG: We’ve signed an open letter with 100 other organisations calling for a new Executive to be formed to tackle the . Local households of all shapes and sizes are being pummelled by rising costs and urgently need support.

RT @CllrMichaelLong: Main census outcomes- more people refuse to attach themselves to being Protestant or Catholic. More people identify as British and Irish. More people born outside NI than ever before. We live in a community of minorities as we did 10 yrs ago. We need to work together.

RT @SteveDonnelly95: Nice to see my fellow heathens put in a good showing - almost 20% despite pressure to pigeon hole us in convenient boxes.

The truth is: we are all minorities, with a responsibility to work towards an open, shared society where we all can live free to be ourselves.

@London_Skylines That's not how it works, though.

What the census shows is that we are all minorities now.

Our priority remains building a more shared and integrated community which embraces that diversity as a positive, rather than trying to force people back into the trenches.

@CmacB22 @duponline There's still a significant amount of money held centrally which can't be redistributed and that could increase again after the mini budget this week. Departments are facing inescapable pressures - but are mainly having to absorb them internally by stopping/slowing delivery.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@CmacB22 @duponline As far as we have been notified, there was £435M held centrally, some of which was Barnett consequentials of energy interventions announced in the Spring. The rest was from a range of other sources.

If HMG delivers that package, they'll take that cash back, reducing the amount.>

@BalladOfBalfe @Cheesewright3 It was done when they became captives of the English Nationalists of the ERG.

Everything after that point was just the consequences of that error in judgement.

@DownOrangeMan @duponline I thought they voted for a 5 point plan?

Or to stop SF becoming First Minister?

But good that you know precisely why everyone who voted DUP did so...

@BarryMcann83 @CBni_ Yeah, because we didn't know it was there - our website is update by magic elves...🙄

@CBni_ I'm not adding fuel to the fire: I'm expressing an opinion.

I'm also committed to trying to overcome the damage others have done to politics here and get the institutions up and running so we can tackle those bigger issues.

It isn't either/or.

@Cheesewright3 The only "mindset" on display is yours. Capital U for political Unionism is pretty well established.

Also, I was including the weak campaign of the UUP at the time and the TUV, so Unionism was more accurate than DUP.

Not unionists, though, however hard you try to twist it.

@Cheesewright3 @_Jason94 Did I say that?

Is deflection of "Whatabout SF" making any difference to the impact of Brexit on NI politics?

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@CBni_ What disruption? If you don't like my analysis, you can mute my account or scroll past?

My job is rather dependent on me having political views. It goes with the territory of being a politician.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@_Jason94 @Cheesewright3 The UUP had plenty of vocal anti-EU, pro-Brexit campaigners, too. It was a free vote I think, though they were nominally remain.

This wasn't just about the DUP, it was much wider than that. There was a political failure to see the impact Brexit would have on the Union.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Cheesewright3 I said Unionists (capitalised) in a Tweet (limited characters).

The UUP failed, too: prominent members were arch-Brexiteers, not just DUPers.

Given the significant number of small 'u' unionists who vote Alliance, I clearly don't see all unionists as the same.

Poor from you.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Cheesewright3 @scullionoflarne I didn't say all unionists. I used capital U to denote political Unionism, which by action and inaction contributed significantly to the Brexit mess.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Cheesewright3 Wraparound ads in Metro paid for by DUP had no impact on GB voting?

Their active pursuit of the hardest possible Brexit when their MPs held the balance in Westminster didn't make it worse?

They were pivotal in creating this mess: I didn't say they acted alone.
