@darrylw16306426 @allianceparty What you imagine and reality are clearly two different things.

We want reform of the institutions: we can do that in parallel to operating them as they stand.

Yes, they are imperfect, but they're better than the alternative.

@nornirongooner @allianceparty @PaulaJaneB We never supported sacking healthcare workers.

I've explained this before - other parties may have done, but we didn't.

Also, I've been reasonably happy to respond, but if you're going to troll every post, including those unrelated to Covid-19, I'll be blocking you.

@Ann02348933 @allianceparty That's exactly what I was arguing for - intervention on the real issues affecting people - which we're being blocked from doing by the DUP.

It seems for someone opposed to jumping on bandwagons, you managed to jump on an anti-woke one in response to an unrelated tweet.

RT @allianceparty: The cost of energy is spiralling out of control.

That's why Alliance are proposing £800 in fuel payments to support households through the cost of living crisis.

@PatriciaOLynn explains 👇

@thatpaulbloomer Well done! Keep being a role model and don't listen to the hate.

@DownOrangeMan @allianceparty Direct rule isn't politically sustainable. You do realise that, right?

Any unionist who can't see the value of inclusive, devolved institutions with functioning N/S & E/W structures isn't dealing in reality.

@Isthatright20 @allianceparty That article is from 2020 and followed a reassessment of the terms and conditions of staff who were working for MLAs. It's got nothing to do with politicians' pay - it's about their staff.

@darrylw16306426 @allianceparty Well, they might want to consider what the alternative to devolution looks like in 2022 before making that decision.

Lack of locally devolved decision-making isn't good for the Union.

@DownOrangeMan @allianceparty I've never suggested we can fix everything as an Executive, but we can fix nothing without one.

@UKing1690 @allianceparty No, they couldn't. It's an internationally binding agreement.

If the UKG who signed it want to change it they need to negotiate those changes.

That's how it works.

And they can do that with an Executive in place just as well as without.

@Liverpool19621 @BelTel You don't know how Protestants voted: you know how unionists voted but the two are not interchangeable.

I'm a Protestant and I voted Alliance and for restoration of the institutions.

Leave religion out of it.

@Liverpool19621 @allianceparty Yeah, we were. We said the same then, and we weren't facing into an economic crisis...

@PaulWil38543502 @Eobo_Pol @AlisonW37619617 @allianceparty At least you're admitting the emphasis isn't on 'democratic', otherwise, they'd accept the election results where an overwhelming majority of MLAs were elected with a mandate to form an Executive.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@Isthatright20 @allianceparty They can't. The law doesn't permit them to take any decisions without Ministers in place.
