Miss him every day but especially Father's Day & this year, we lost @CllrMichaelLong's dad, Adrian, too. We're comforted by happy memories.

Thinking of these two men, James and Adrain, who were such a big part of my life, with gratitude.

Love to all missing their dad today💔

RT @allianceparty: Alliance Health spokesperson @PaulaJaneB on "We want the design plan for health service reconfiguration to be bold and ambitious...but the Health alone can't solve all problems. We need Executive up and running - all Departments have responsibility for health"

@GM87538668 @PMcReynoldsMLA Nothing, I'm quite well. However, you seem a tad stressed and enraged. Have you tried yoga? Or meditation?

I presume you aren't applying btw?

@Redeyes1878 @prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP I literally did say yes or no. 🙄

And I don't support the legislation as international treaties require both sides to agree changes for them to be legal and binding. Unilateral action is counterproductive.

@JohnMurrray @PMcReynoldsMLA Your allegation that we are not equal opportunities employers needs to be backed up with facts and not having had a reply to your tweet isn't evidence. The claim is baseless, false and potentially defamatory.

I look forward to you withdrawing it or backing it up.

@JohnMurrray @PMcReynoldsMLA Anyone who applies will be considered against the criteria. Only requirement is that they can represent my vision, values and party policy to constituents.

Vast majority of people I have employed in the last 20 yrs have had no connection to the party at the point of employment.

@Redeyes1878 @prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP No, it's an answer to the question you asked. It's just not the answer you want, because it acknowleges that the UK sovereign Parliament made these deals and has every right to do and highlights that I didn't support either choice.

@darrylw16306426 @prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP Our government negotiated this as it has negotiated countless other international agreements which also constrain what it can or can't do on certain issues.

@Redeyes1878 @prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP It wouldn't have been my choice, no. I didn't support Brexit or the Protocol. But it is what the UK Govt signed up to do, and if implemented would avoid any issues of differential VAT on fuel.

@rjohnsykes @prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP Yes, we've raised it with them. But then if the EU said yes what grievance would they have? 🙄

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/naomi_long/status/15

@SPENCE_JOHN @prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP They've said they would. The UK hasn't asked.

@impongo22 @Awkconpod @prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP You have, yes. We still benefit from the VAT reduction via Barnett Consequentials which we can then spend as we wish. Or UKG can simply seek to apply the VAT reduction directly according to the rules of the deal they signed up to.

So far they haven't bothered.

RT @JohnMHyland_: “Be who you are and say what you feel, because, in the end, those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter.”

Truer words never spoken. Sometimes our own worst enemy, is ourselves.
You do you, be proud of you, and never apologise for being you.

@prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP Not strictly. The EU can grant a variation to allow NI to match the rUK rate. It requires the UKG to request it; the EU have already indicated they would be open to a request. So far, UKG haven't asked re recent VAT reductions, so instead we get the Barnett consequential.

@Dido59Diane @prodlegacy @StephenFarryMP Our energy market is differently structured, so it's much more complex.
