Within 6 months WTO members will decide on a possible extension to treatments and tests. I hope leaders will agree on this by the next summit. The global right to health must prevail! 2/3
WTO deal on #TRIPSwaiver is disappointing. Only covers vaccines, treatments and test are excluded. In practice there are little wins & even some added barriers. A victory for big pharma, and a heavy responsibility for EU 1/3
Binnen het half jaar zullen WTO leden wel moeten beslissen over een eventuele uitbreiding naar behandelingen en tests. Ik hoop dus dat wereldleiders op de volgende top die uitbreiding zullen goedkeuren. Het recht op gezondheid voor iedereen moet gevrijwaard worden 2/3
