It’s one year since the tragic passing of Ógie Ó Dufaigh.
Tonight the road into his beloved @MonaghanHarps was named in his honour & a commemorative plaque was unveiled at the grounds. Continued sympathies to all who loved & miss Ógie every day.

RT @sinnfeinireland: It appears that Fianna Fáil, after all their bluff & bluster will support Eamon Ryan’s ban on the sale of turf - rather than actually help families source affordable, alternative forms of heating
It doesn’t aid the environment, it just makes people’s lives even harder @mattcarthy

To their shame a majority of TDs have voted confidence in this failed government.
However, the appetite for change among the public is growing.
Sinn Féin will continue to work for that change.
RT @sinnfeinireland: 🚨This do-nothing Government needs to go, and clear the way for a government that puts ordinary workers and families first🚨 @MaryLouMcDonald

Eamon Ryan has told the Dáil that he intends to bring proposals next week that will ban the sale of turf in some instances.
Instead he should be bringing measures that will actually support families to heat their homes.

This is harebrianed - where will FF & FG TDs stand?

The ‘Green’ Party in government 🤯
RT @orourke_darren: Govt will today redirect €40m funding FROM retrofitting to pay for data centre-induced emergency (gas/diesel powered) electricity….that companies will charge a premium for. Ring-fenced carbon tax my eye. Ordinary workers & families paying on the double for govt incompetence.

RT @Donnchadhol: I’m glad pressure from Sinn Féin has forced Govt to realise that waiting until Sept is too late for parents under pressure

But rate increase - while welcome - won’t help struggling parents who don’t qualify. We need to expand payment to middle income parents as in SF proposals

RT @sinnfeinireland: When banks were in trouble the Government bailed them out overnight.

But when its ordinary workers and families the Government's message is to just wait until September.

People need action now! @mattcarthy
