In a week when government forced up the cost of home heating and other fuel on ordinary families, we learned that those same parties provided a scheme for the mega-wealthy to delay their tax liabilities during Covid!

It is beyond maddening that, in the midst of a cost-of-living emergency, government have today increased the cost of home heating oil & other fuels through a carbon tax hike.
This is not climate action - it’s just making peoples lives harder. The definition of out-of-touch.

Such a devastating tragedy; it’s impossible to find words that could bring comfort to Aoibhe’s family and her so many friends; we can only hope that they can help each other to come to terms with such unbearable grief. May Aoibhe rest in Peace.

Clearly government could & should have reviewed ABP structures before now!
After all the bluster from FF & FG backbenchers; tonight they voted:
- against SF proposal to reduce fill of heating oil by €118
- against reductions in diesel, petrol & agri-fuel
- in favour of turf ban
- to increase home heating oil on Sunday.
Election can’t come soon enough!
