I’ve just finished Kate Atkinson’s “Shrines of Gaiety”. This woman is a superb writer. The story is set in the Soho of the 1920s. It’s hard to give it a genre, but it’s historically accurate, tense, and there’s a bit of crime, if not a whodunit.
