@B__50000_ To be fair, it works the other way round, too. Employers are threatened with wrongful claims and settle at any figure they think will be less than their fees, or, indeed, higher, if they think there might be reputations damage.

@EmergMedDr @1goodtern Following morning, DNS went in for her normal routine, we're horrified, called the GP, who then had her blue lighted to hospital, where she stayed for 3 1/2 weeks.

She's fine now. But getting harder to claim how proud I am of our #NHS

@EmergMedDr @1goodtern Mike's from her. He has his own challenges, which is why he is not first in lines for these situations. He went out, saw her, decides 111 would do, and called. They said they would send someone. That was about 5pm. At 11.30, no-one having turned up, he had to leave. 3/

@EmergMedDr @1goodtern I was on hols in England, and called 111 as we'd been advised. Long story short, an hour and 15 minutes later, after a long wait, and a long call, even though I had explained everything up front, I was told they could not help, because geography. I called her son who lives 20 2/

@EmergMedDr @1goodtern Possibly fair question, but.... my SiL is immobile and housebound with MS. I got a phone call from her carers on a Sunday afternoon, to say they thought she was unusually unwell. They had phoned for an ambulance, which was refused, because they thought she could wait. 1/
