@JoHayesLibDem I have reread the opinion. It is, I think, inappropriate to quote the Party’s legal advice. It is fair to say that the conclusion was that the action you proposed would be discriminatory and thus carried risk. It finished by leading us to make our own judgement on that risk.

@velvettoatone @JoHayesLibDem You are right. But the issue was that what the ICO told the staff member was wrong. In a Board meeting, to accuse a staff member of lying is reprehensible. Even if it is true, which it was not.
