@Grandroyal11 @gabrielquotes @MutzUk @JCWI_UK I don’t hide, I’m on the public record saying that
Those are not semantics, they are a matter of law.
Instead of strengthening our welcome to asylum seekers, successive UK governments have engaged in name calling and ideology.
This needs to stop.

@Grandroyal11 @gabrielquotes @MutzUk @JCWI_UK I don’t know who you are but I know that the examples you gave were insulting, despicable and unwarranted.
You know who I am.

@Grandroyal11 @gabrielquotes @MutzUk @JCWI_UK Debating asylum seeking protected by law is what it is, the examples you gave were insulting, despicable and unwarranted.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/Christia_Allard/stat

@Grandroyal11 @gabrielquotes @MutzUk @JCWI_UK Absolutely not, the courts have already indicated that the onus would be on the authorities to prove that they avoided declaring that they are what they are, asylum seekers.
Removing legal routes or stopping people claiming asylum doesn’t stop them being asylum seekers.

@Grandroyal11 @gabrielquotes @MutzUk @JCWI_UK They have immunity because they are protected by the fact of seeking asylum. The law protecting them supersedes any other laws.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/Christia_Allard/stat

@Grandroyal11 @gabrielquotes @MutzUk @JCWI_UK Asylum seekers are protected when seeking asylum, furthermore people assisting them are too protected by law.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/Christia_Allard/stat

@Grandroyal11 @gabrielquotes @MutzUk @JCWI_UK Thank you, we got there at the end. Asylum seeking is a legal process that people enter. They are protected by law when doing so. At the end of the process, none of them are asylum seekers. They are either given the status of refugees, the large majority of them are, or not.

@Grandroyal11 @gabrielquotes @MutzUk @JCWI_UK I know, thank you, I am right at the point of arrival they are all asylum seekers and protected as such, whatever happens at the end of the legal process is irrelevant to the statement that I keep on making.

🐦🔗: nitter.eu/Christia_Allard/stat

@MutzUk @JCWI_UK @ukhomeoffice You and I know that, when asked, they all declare that they are asylum seekers because they are asylum seekers at the point of arrival regardless if someone is there or not to ask them if they are.
