Today, I have written to the @healthdpt to commission abortion services across Northern Ireland as soon as possible. It is absolutely vital women and girls of Northern Ireland have access to safe, high-quality and local healthcare.

At a time where taxpayers’ money - and taxpayers themselves - are under enormous strain, it is not acceptable that MLAs continue to draw a full salary while unable to conduct the full range of functions for which they were elected.

The people of Northern Ireland want their elected representatives to get back to work for them.
I hope the Northern Ireland (Executive Formation etc) Bill will help accomplish this and again urge NI’s parties to work together and bring back the Executive and Assembly.

Following Second Reading of the Legacy Bill this week, I had another constructive discussion with @nivictimscom @IBJeffers, as we continue to consider carefully how victims’ concerns can be addressed as the Bill proceeds through Parliament. 1/2
If NI parties disagree with the Budget allocations set out today, they should restore the Executive to consider and revise the position I have set out today.
It is with significant regret that I am now setting a Northern Ireland Budget.
I have a clear message to the NI parties; if they disagree with my budget, the best outcome is for a restored Executive to consider and revise the position I have set out.
