@wgtdunbar We shouldn’t have to keep building more new houses though - local people should be able to rent/buy and live in homes that already exist, but which are no longer homes. They sit empty for 40+ weeks of the year. It’s a scandal

There are around 4,500 second homes in South Hams.
766 households are in URGENT need of accommodation.

That’s 766 local people/families who have nowhere to live.

There is no housing crisis here. There is a crisis of greed.

@DeepSpaceT @BeyondDeath23 Yep we've seen this in other wards too. Stoke Gabriel got a leaflet from Jonathan Hawkins who failed to mention he was a Conservative. Clearly ashamed of their national party.
At least they are not pretending they are Greens like the leaflet they produced last year.

@JAllen20 @BBCNewsnight @LibDems But the money from the Cambridge congestion charge will improve bus services - so the combo of better buses and fewer cars will encourage commuters to use public transport. Just like people do in London.
We need to cut vehicle use and change habits.
