haben heute ihren Teil des Versprechens gehalten, die bestehende Waffenruhe begrenzter Zollfreiheit für Stahl+ Aluminium Importe zu verlängern. Gut so, aber Exporteure die mehr als die zugestandene Quote exportieren, müssen immer noch sehr hohe Zölle zahlen. Nicht fair.

Not a perfect solution, but a pragmatic one. This will buy us time. By extending the deadline, we have made an advance payment and played our part. Now it's the American side's turn. Mutual extension of the deadline must be finalised by the end of year.

R to @berndlange: Since US started applying its 232 tariffs EU has been reacting step by step and in a lawful and very cautious manner. We had foreseen many tariffs that would kick in at a certain date but refrained from imposing them (2/5)
