We left the institutions of the EU but we are hitched at the hip to it and Northern Ireland left behind.

@CarverEmily You’re absolutely right. You do not keep putting good money after bad. Think of it this way: would you pay £30 billion for a new rail line which does not reduce travel time? No you wouldn’t.
Makes no sense to spend £30 billion to “protect” £18 billion.
