Dat de evacuaties uit Afghanistan onnodig slecht voorbereid en chaotisch waren, heeft zijn sporen nagelaten. Maar waarom heeft de regering daarna niet alsnog de achtergeblevenen gered met evacuaties of visa-verlening? Dat kan en moet nog steeds.
