RT @RachelReevesMP: Next week, the government will receive the OBR forecasts on its Budget.

But they won’t publish them for another six weeks.

That is misguided and harmful.

And it’s why I’ve written to the Chancellor requesting he publishes the OBR forecasts - in full - on the 7 October.

This week’s was the 19th @UKLabour annual conference I’ve attended.
I’ve been at conference when we’ve won elections and when we’ve lost. No space for complacency and lots of hard work ahead, but this week Labour felt like a serious party of government again.

Sad that Tories now debasing yet another of our institutions putting this stuff out on the @hmtreasury feed.
Presumably someone in the Treasury knows what’s happening to mortgage rates and inflation?
RT @hmtreasury: Thanks to the Growth Plan, a typical person in a semi-detached property will save £1,150 on their household's energy bills - and if they are earning £30,000 almost an additional £400 on tax.

Any of these @hmtreasury graphics to show what unceasing mortgage rates and inflation mean for their ‘typical family’ in a semi-detached property?
RT @hmtreasury: Due to the Growth Plan a typical family moving into a semi-detached property will save £2,500 on stamp duty & £1,150 on energy bills –and if one worker earns £50,000, almost an additional £850 on tax.

This is around £4,500 in total.

Getting the new National Policy Forum term up and running quickly, good to speak at Chesterfield CLP this evening.
Good discussion as we come out of a buoyant, positive @UKLabour Conference, but no complacency and lots of hard work ahead to win again across the East Midlands.
