Had same experience. I sat on the public health committee for ten years as an MEP. (European Parliament)
I was accused of being apocalyptic, and other much worse things.
So I went out and bought some masks and an extra little freezer!
We ALL KNEW something would come. You only had to read Spillover and the Michael Osterholm book Deadly Diseases.
We were not prepared.
