RT by @MarietjeSchaake: If people live in northern Gaza (they do) and they're not allowed to leave (they aren't) and a certain military is blocking them from receiving food (it is), then starvation is being used as a weapon of war. A crime under every modern form of international humanitarian law.

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: spending yom kippur in brooklyn with hundreds of jews who reject the notion that jewish safety must come at the expense of palestinians, for our liberation is intertwined

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: This is just crazy. Yes, there was eventually a peaceful transfer of power ONLY because Trumps plan to interrupt it failed! Attempted robbery is still a crime. Attempted murder is still a crime. Conspiracy to commit a crime is still a felony even if you fail.

I hope we can all agree that pushing clips of suicides onto people’s timelines is harmful in a variety of ways and is the kind of content that deserves restricting ↘️

Just left a review:

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: there was an extremely disturbing interview with an ex Israeli general on the BBC today in which he explainded his Assad-esque surrender or starve plan for northern gaza. out in open. sounds like he thought if idf implementing it was without the ‘political component’.

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: With attention gravitating towards the invasion of (and the mass forcible transfer taking place south of the Awali River), the forcible transfer of Palestinians out of northern is taking place at an unprecedented rate, in preparation for the permanent acquisition of occupied territory. A grave breach of international law is underway with little or no attention.

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: Today's front page of The National.

We published a timeline of a year of Israel's bombardment of Gaza. It's all here in black and white - the war crimes, murdered journalists, flattened hospitals, orphaned children. 7567 words, 42,000 deaths. Don't look away.

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: We've read claims about AI outperforming human doctors. Many of those claims are unsubstantiated, misleading, or plainly false. Here's a proposal of how to report on AI performance in medical contexts.

Elon Musk's xAI supercomputer team has been secretly courting government officials, like Memphis police and FBI agents, behind NDAs and a shell run by his fixer, Jared Birchall.

We obtained the NDA through a public records request.

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: There's a word for this kind of behaviour: blackmail. If Meta can't or won't design products that comply with local laws, then it shouldn't be able to access the EU market – it's as simple as that. And until then, Europeans will be just fine without Meta's hallucinating chatbots.

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: Pay attention to the scandal in 🇨🇴, where a private jet loaded with cash was used to buy the notorious mercenary spyware.

Colombia's president @petrogustavo has speculated that he & other opposition figures may have been targeted during administration of President Iván Duque.

@FiscaliaCol is now in midst of a criminal probe into possible unauthorized use.

Uber and Lyft using tech to cheat NY drivers from enjoying new minimum wage. How is this not illegal? In NY recently ‘ride share’ was way more expensive than Yellow Cabs too

RT by @MarietjeSchaake: In order to get around minimum wage laws in New York, where drivers are supposed to be paid for time on the clock in between rides, Uber and Lyft are simply locking them out of the app so there's no record that they're on the roads at that time.

Incredible, infuriating story.
