Now everything is trailed so no pleasant surprises.
This budget was tinkering rather than any bold moves.

Good news. pro-NetZero Biden has gone back on his pledge on oil and will be drilling new fields in Alaska. Local people wanted it saying it will ‘bring jobs and economic stability.’

This article cheered me up no end this Sunday morning.
In a nutshell the Europeans are giving up on many green measures - like EVs and heat pumps - as they realise it’s bullshit.
We are slow to follow, but in the end we’ll have to.
Common sense will ultimately prevail.

Yesterday saw the second biggest bank collapse ever in US history and it barely hit the news here.
Silicon Valley Bank had a lot of money tied up in tech businesses. Now that interest rates are rising, ‘free cash’ is no longer available.
