In the next budget the Government should introduce a new higher rate of tax of 70% exclusively for people who work in mainstream media.

I want to put on record: I thought the last budget was excellent. Many businesses people I have spoken to do too
The only thing missing was the moratorium on green levies which were promised in the hustings.
Hopefully that will happen in Nov budget.

I have no issue with King Charles speaking about climate change but:
1. Speaking on such matters harms the credibility of Royal Family as this is a political issue; and

I just don’t understand people. We have the worst energy crisis this country has ever known and people are still debating the why’s and wherefore’s of fracking.

It’s great news that Gov wants to live within its means and stimulate growth. One of the biggest Govt spends is making Gov dept.s Net Zero compliant. £70 billion. Even if you believe in this, now is not the time. We must scrap this urgently or at least pause it for a few years
