On 27 July, it's 10 years since the London Olympics.
350 businesses employing 12,000 people were evicted to make way for the circus.
My story tells about my fight against Gov dishonesty and incompetence to save our business & others.

@stephenpollard Best advice: Don't listen to the BBC. Makes you even hotter, especially under the collar

Some basic economics for those supporting Rishi.
Tax cuts do not cause inflation.
Spending too much does. So a budget deficit can be inflationary if paid for by money printing, but the underlying cause is always spending too much.
We need to cut spending and waste hard.

@sebserlo @john4brexit The furlough scheme was a disaster. Everyone assumes it was either this or nothing for business. There were numerous other possibilities. Furlough discouraged work - and now we have 5-6million people many choosing not to work and a shortage of labour.

@TomSwarbrick1 Nose touching at the end was an interesting body language signal.

@stephenpollard He' a businessman/maverick not a politician. They think differently. It's why he won't win
Everyone has strengths and weakness. Boris has a multitude of both. Harnessing the strengths, if you can do so without invoking the weaknesses, would yield a positive outcome. Big IF!

Sunak says he’ll run the economy like Thatcher if he wins.
Hope that doesn’t mean he’ll close down the coal mines. We need them open now!

@emilyhewertson Victim mentality.

@MahyarTousi She’s only the darling of the grassroots because they weren’t aware she champions NetZero strategy.
And that she wants to give more local control and funding to Mayors (more cash for Sadiq Khan???!!😱).
No thanks!

@Dannythefink @adam_cannon @trussliz Weren’t you in the SDP at the time?

@Dannythefink @adam_cannon @trussliz Your analysis is wrong. The problem with the centre-right Tories since Thatcher is that they always try to accommodate the wets. Thatcher understood you have to remove them and be philosophically pure. The resulting strength of the economy would yield electoral success.

@adam_cannon @Dannythefink Looks like the Sunak camp see @trussliz as their biggest threat.

@MorrisseyHelena @thequentinletts @KemiBadenoch @Conservatives You are right Helena, as usual.
When people voted for brexit it was a bold and significant signal from the British people.
They were saying they wanted major change and things done differently.
Tinkering is not the answer. We need radicalism in our approach.

@emilyhewertson The best way to deal with this is for the right of centre candidates to vote for Hunt now (ensuring they have at least 30 themselves) so that Rishi doesn’t think Hunt needs too much support. On the final vote, then pull them away and back to where they belong.

@emilyhewertson He would have to lend a lot of his votes to Hunt to do that.
The 1922 committee should have made a rule that once you vote for a candidate you cannot switch vote unless that candidate is forced out. That would have led to far more honest rather than tactical voting.
