Rather than spending £35 billion on a totally useless track and trace system, HM Treasury ought to invest a few quid on some dynamic modelling.

It could change the way they view all taxes. Either that or invest in a brain like Keith Joseph

What I care about is someone who says there is a moral case for low taxes then puts taxes up.

And worse, that he led international negotiations to set a minimum corporation tax rate. That’s cartelisation of tax, not competition

@BellaWallerstei My problem with Rishi is that he is not a believer in low tax.

It’s not just that he raised taxes here but he led an international effort to set minimum global corporation tax rates.

This is one of the worst things I have known a Tory chancellor ever to do.
