Op het ministerie van Handel besprak ik verder hoe we onze sterke handelsrelatie verder kunnen versterken door bijvoorbeeld logistieke samenwerking in de haven van Mombasa.

Tijdens een ontmoeting met minister Macharia van Transport ging het over onze ambitie om de 🇰🇪 & 🇳🇱 havens beter te verbinden via een ‘Cool Logistics Corridor’. Zo kunnen houdbare producten, zoals bloemen en groenten, per schip worden vervoerd in speciale gekoelde containers.

Kenia is een belangrijke (handels)partner van Nederland. In onze samenwerking in deze regio gaan hulp en handel hand in hand. We ondersteunen Nederlandse bedrijven bij het zakendoen en samen met hen dragen we bij aan perspectief voor de lokale bevolking. (1/4)

De boodschap van het klimaatrapport van @IPCC_CH is duidelijk: wereldwijde #klimaatactie is nu nodig. Ook voor Nederland.

At the @wto, I spoke about the impact of the war on world trade and the growing concerns about food security. It is important that countries keep their markets open. Export restrictions will only lead to higher food prices. 2/2

Bij de @wto heb ik gesproken over de impact van de oorlog op de wereldhandel en de grote zorgen over voedselzekerheid. Belangrijk dat landen hun markten openhouden. Exportrestricties jagen de voedselprijs alleen maar verder op. 2/2

Ook bij de organisaties in Genève domineert #Oekraïne de agenda. Gesproken met @UNmigration en @WHO. En ik sprak met het internationale #RodeKruis: over vrije toegang voor hulpverleners en dat de sancties hen niet mogen hinderen bij hun werk. 1/2
