Belangrijk gesprek gehad met de @DutchRelief (DRA) over o.a. #Soedan. De DRA en hun lokale partners blijven speuren naar mogelijkheden om hun werk veilig en effectief voort te zetten. Samenwerking tussen internationale ngo's, lokale hulporganisaties & de VN is ook hier cruciaal.

Mooi bezoek aan @NXP, indrukwekkende chips voor auto's en andere toepassingen besproken. Om Nederlandse bedrijven in de chipsindustrie te helpen en onze positie te versterken, is samenwerking met andere landen op het gebied van ontwikkeling, talent en innovatie van groot belang.

Ongeveer 60 Nederlanders zijn succesvol geëvacueerd uit #Soedan, van wie 15 via een Nederlandse evacuatievlucht. Respect voor de inzet van onze diplomaten en militairen. Ondertussen doen we er alles aan om anderen die nog in Soedan zijn, te helpen.

Succesvolle handelsmissie in #Canada afgesloten. Veel belangstelling voor onze agri-tech bedrijven die land- en tuinbouw met hightech combineren. Met CETA is onze export met 30% gestegen en is zakendoen in Canada makkelijker geworden.

Great that @UNDP and Boskalis signed a contract to start the operation in the Red Sea to avoid an environmental, humanitarian & economic disaster. The Netherlands worked hard to mobilize funds for the #FSOSafer operation, and will keep helping the @UN to bring this to a good end.

Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, The Netherlands has remained committed to helping the Ukrainian people. This week we contributed EUR 40 million to the @Worldbank's @IFC_org. This provides Ukraine's farmers access to finance, and ensures more food security.

Sat down with @USTradeRep @AmbassadorTai today. The US is an essential trade partner for the Netherlands. I voiced my support for the upcoming Trade and Technology Council in Sweden in May and emphasized the importance of the multilateral trading system.

At the @Worldbank’s Spring Meeting I announced that the Netherlands will make a new contribution of 60 million euros to the URTF and a further 40 million euros to @IFC_org’s Economic Resilience Action program in order to help rebuild Ukraine.

Na de aardbeving kwam Nederland in actie voor #Syrië en #Turkije. Via @Giro555, en ook vanuit het kabinet, met geld voor bijvoorbeeld voedsel, water en tenten. Deze week was ik in Turkije en zag ik hoe hard die hulp nog steeds nodig is.

Uganda is working on new, even more extreme anti-LGBTIQ+ legislation that could potentially allow for the death penalty for homosexuality. This is shocking, and it will have major implications for our support of law enforcement programs. I urge the President to stop this bill.

Vandaag is er een donorconferentie voor Turkije & Syrië. Nederland reserveert 10 miljoen euro voor wederopbouw in Turkije.
