RT @AnnaTodd6: Gutted for my lovely former colleagues at @BBCLookEast in that the operation will close. Amazing team. Hard working and dedicated to the programme, night after night. Apparently it came as a bombshell, even to the editor, who found out last night. Totally crap

RT @mrjamesob: He's already ridden roughshod over the ministerial code. Now he's diluting its power to protect us from corrupt & inept ministers. The alternative would have been to *start* following it...

No surprise I’m afraid. The only people who can stop the total annihilation of any respect for Parliament are MPs. The HoC was the cradle of western democracy. It is being eviscerated by the current PM. Tory MPs can stop him. If they don’t they carry are as much to blame as him.

RT @JonJonesSnr: So the windfall tax that every single Tory MP voted against last week is now a great idea this week!

RT @davidwhittam: I had to stand outside a hospital in the rain for hours not knowing what was going on as my partner miscarried. I wasn’t allowed in to hold her hand and be there for her and there was nowhere open for me to go and wait. The same day there was a party in Number 10.

RT @libdemdaisy: The @LibDems were the first party to call for a back last October, and we’ve repeated those calls time and time again. The Tory government has sat on its hands, happy to push people into poverty: waiting to act until they needed to distract from

The British people won't fall for the Sunak Scam. They need a tax cut now to put food on the table, heat their homes and fill up their cars

RT @pippaheylings: 7 months ago @EdwardJDavey
called for a windfall tax. Conservatives said no and have resisted the idea ever since while more and more people have been dragged into poverty. Now watch carefully!

RT @LibDems: The Chancellor is hammering families with a £800 tax hike this year, more than wiping out what he announced today.

It is the Sunak scam, promising you help but picking your pockets while you're not looking.

The spending announcement on fuel costs is overdue and the timing of spending of OUR money to save his skin stinks. But the BBC cuts are in many ways more serious. The attack on the institutions which protect our democracy is relentless.

So the day after the Sue Grey report we have two announcements. 1. A package of spending to finally tackle the cost of living crisis. 2. Thousands of job cuts at the BBC. Make no mistake this country is now being run with the sole aim of keeping Johnson in Downing Street.

This brushing out is very peculiar

RT @jnpowell1: Thread on Sue Gray report. I have seen lots on inquiries in No 10. Sometimes they clear people and nothing happens. Sometimes they find wrongdoing and someone resigns or is sacked. This one is unusual.1/5
