RT @claireroberts02: 2 old ladies - (their description who are friends of mine) quite innocently stumbled on Johnson in a London Street - hat on, collar up & he shouted at them so aggressively, twice, that they actually felt quite frightened.

"What are you looking at?"

This quite a story..

This is also a Brexit/Remain map. Brexit has hit the worst off areas, who voted for it, hardest. The growth bin Northern Ireland, which has remained within the single market, is worth noting.

Very mixed feelings today as I am back in the European Parliament attending the first session between EU and U.K. Parliaments. Wonderful to see so many friends, but also tragic that U.K. is now visiting as a third country. We have lost so much influence in the world 😢

RT @AntonSpisak: I feel strongly that every comment on the NI Protocol must start from a simple statement of fact:

When Johnson agreed to the revised Protocol in October 2019, he knew exactly what the consequences were, but he did so out of pure self-interest (to win the 2019 election).

I fear you may be right. Another worry is that unscrupulous traders will look at our lack of checks and direct all their dodgy produce to the U.K. The impact if we import diseases could be catastrophic.
