RT @LibDems: When the Chancellor should have been supporting struggling families, he’s been hitting them with a massive tax rise. Now it turns out he has failed to keep to the ministerial code.

Never mind a Green Card, it's time to give Rishi Sunak the red card.

That level of wealth is also mind-boggling. No wonder Sunak doesn’t understand the impact of rising energy prices on those on Universal Credit, or the impact of his £20 a month cut to everyone on UC last autumn. 🤬🤬
RT @paddygrant: Akshata Murty is worth £27bn and went to all that trouble to avoid £20m tax. Thats the same as having £27,000 in the bank and dodging paying 20 quid. The greed is mind boggling.

RT @wesstreeting: The luxury of being able to choose how much tax you pay, where you pay it, and when you pay it, is not one that is enjoyed by most people in this country.

One rule for them, another for the rest of us, is the defining feature of this Conservative Government.

RT @BenKentish: Rishi Sunak was an MP for 6.5 years, a UK government minister for 3.5 years and Chancellor of the Exchequer for 1.5 years - all while holding permanent residency of the United States.

RT @EdwardJDavey: When struggling families need support, Rishi Sunak has hit them with a massive tax rise.

Now, instead of tackling this cost-of-living crisis, he’s busy trying to explain his secret tax arrangements.

The Ministerial Code requires openness for a reason. Sunak must resign.

So glad LGA is able to help. School governors are serious unsung heros and frequently don’t get enough support.
RT @NGAMedia: @NGASteveE @PaulWhiteman6 @NAHTnews @RealGeoffBarton @ASCL_UK "This guidance is an invaluable tool for trustees, governors and senior school leaders which sets out best practice in building productive relationships to promote school improvement..." @LNethsingha @LGAcomms

RT @MaryRegW: This is the government that stopped child benefit being paid to women whose partners earn too much, and monitors how often recipients of Universal Credit have their partners staying in their houses.

But obv, rules about household income apply only to us, not them

This is the point. If his wife is resident here, long term, she is not “non-domiciled”. Does she live here is the key question, not her citizenship. It is possible Sunak and his wife live in different countries, but if they don’t, if she lives here, her tax status should be U.K.
RT @BBCLauraKT: BREAKING: Rishi Sunak has explained that just because his wife's home is in the UK and their children go to school in the UK and his job is…

Really serious message from European Parliament. This level of support is unusual, but the horror unrolling in Ukraine means people and politicians across Europe are united in condemning Russia.
RT @GuyVerhofstadt: BREAKING - European Parliament want immediate and full fossil fuel embargo !

No gas, no oil, no coal…

NO European money for Putin’s army !

"He is hitting people with an unfair tax rise at the worst time, it won't wash for him to try and brush this issue under the carpet."

It’s almost like all people should be treated as the complex individuals they are rather than trying to make blanket judgements based on one single thing about them.

And what on earth is “a real Brexit”. Not sure 40 mile queues from Dover were what was promised, or big tax rises, or the longest NHS waiting times ever.
RT @judithbuntingld: David Frost states: “The Brexit battle … seemingly ended with near-total victory for the advocates of a real Brexit.”

Ummm… 52% to 48% anyone?

And so the lies continue … telegraph.co.uk/opinion/2022/0
