NI SOS
Dear Secretary of State,
I refer you to a judgement today in the High Court in Northern Ireland, Gerard Kelly-v-Malachi O’Doherty:
judiciaryni.uk/sites/judiciary
’Doherty.pdf
Within this judgement, which involves the striking out of attempted libel proceedings by Mr Kelly, you will note careful and useful references to Mr Kelly’s terrorist career.
You will note various relevant judicial findings, including that at para 87 on Kelly being a person who has lost his moral compass and who places little value on human life.
Yet this unapologetic terrorist of no reputation is someone whose membership of the Policing Board you have confirmed.
In light of this judgement I call on you to review and terminate his Policing Board membership.
Yours sincerely,
Jim Allister

RT by @JimAllister: The judge found that Mr Kelly was someone who a right-thinking person would view as having “lost his moral compass” because he had exploded car bombs in the centre of London, something he defends to this day.

If Unionists roll over on this there is nothing left to roll over on.

And some foolishly thought SF was in Stormont to make NI work! TUV has always warned that for SF it was but a stepping stone.

RT by @JimAllister: Speaker or panel member, doesn’t matter, however you dress it up, I can’t think of anything that would be a greater waste of time than spending a Saturday afternoon as a token unionist at this event.

Though clearly with no interest in the adverse constitutional impact, surely, the UUP, and others, who proclaim access to the EU market as an “enormous opportunity”, should be able to quantify this alleged advantage in financial terms, with set off for loss arising from the corresponding fettering of GB/NI trade? Even HMG has been unable to publish a projection. I wonder why?

RT by @JimAllister: This is from 15th January 2021. This will be seen as an endorsement of the TUV position. Many more Unionists are beginning to see that the TUV have been correct about the NI Protocol, the Windsor Framework, the annexation of NI and the Stormont boycott.

RT by @JimAllister: The price of Northern Ireland’s access to the EU single market will be the “unravelling” of the province’s position within the UK economy, a leading economist has warned

The letter of Aug 2016 by Mrs Foster and McGuinness was the most damaging of the moves made by the DUP because it opened the door to different Brexit treatment for NI by demanding special arrangements, opening the door to the Protocol. Once ‘leaving as one nation’ was compromised, we were headed in the wrong direction - as I pointed out at the time.
