There can be no doubt about the injustice on pay which continues to be visited on NI teachers. The disparity with other parts of the U.K. is appalling.
Sadly, it seems to me that instead of the Secretary of State dealing with this issue - and only Treasury money can solve the matter - he is prepared to do nothing in the hope of inaction bringing political pressure to bear for a return to Stormont, even though Stormont hasn’t the funds to fix the problem.
Making teachers a political pawn is wholly wrong and unacceptable.

It will take a lot more than getting rid of the green lane to reassert U.K. sovereignty. It is NI’s subjection to EU Customs Code and Single Market laws which secures EU sovereignty and the suspension of Art 6 of the Acts of Union.
