Our constitution is clear: Prime Minister serves because he can command a majority in Parliament

It is clear that Johnson no longer can so he must go

But unscrupulous PM can exploit weakness of unwritten constitution

I’m pretty sure I’m right in saying John Longwirth was not a Conservative MEP

He was elected from the Brexit Party if I’m not mistaken

Although they’ve become almost indistinguishable in recent years
