RT @NorthLancsGreen: This fundraiser has the potential to make all the difference to our election success, but we need help getting the word out, including to people who don’t live in/near Lancaster. Also, why not buy a ticket so that if you win you can give the gift of a holiday to someone else?

RT @Anthony93544017: Britain has been dominated fir far too long by Labour and the Conservatives. When the Libdems joined the Conservatives they did nothing. Time for a politics that addresses the issues facing Britain. Vote Green party.

RT @GreenJennyJones: Sharing this to cheer myself up. We 6, plus the 50k+ other @TheGreenParty members, are fighting for justice for people and planet. Each in our own way, in our own arenas, but with a clear sense of purpose and urgency.

“Why, in a country with a statutory net zero target, are we even discussing opening a new mine?”

Thanks @Bankfieldbecky for real insights
RT @Bankfieldbecky: I've done lots of media on the coal mine, and I'm struck by how journalists' questions, and indeed many campaigners' statements, essentially embed the false debate over the mine.

An explanation - and some alternative questions - in a thread 1/9

RT @TheGreenParty: ⛔️ The Green Party is the only party to have consistently opposed the Cumbria coal mine.

On news of approval of new Cumbria coalmine, I was asked- “what can we do?”
-read this thread👇🏼
-help fund the legal challenge (coming soon)
-support local protestors

And this madness will be stopped…
RT @DavidMorton359: Grim if expected news on the Cumbria coalmine ' decision'. A political disaster for Whitehaven. My tuppence ha'penny on what happens next. 👇

RT @SpeakSarahSpeak: Looking forward to the consultation on onshore wind consenting. @RippleEnergy wants local ownership to become standard, so local people can own part of all new wind farms and get cheaper power for 25+ years as a result. We're ready to work with developers to make it happen.

RT @TheGreenParty: 💬 “There is no future for fracking in this country - it's a distraction from getting on with the real energy security measures that will solve the energy crisis."

RT @LeftieStats: 🗳️ Could @TheGreenParty win a 2nd seat?

New boundaries created new seat of Bristol Central - even stronger for Greens than the old Bristol West.

In 2021 locals, Greens won Central by a 22pt margin and won 11 of 14 seats - coming within just 319 votes of winning *all the seats*.

This 👇🏼 is a very important aspect and must be grasped, when (not if 🤞) Government returns to commonsense policy of renewable onshore wind generation
RT @Bankfieldbecky: If (when?) the de-facto ban on onshore wind is lifted, it's really important to think about *who owns* the wind turbines.

Before the ban, a really important principle was established: a community right to shared ownership. I think this should be re-introduced.

Some really positive housing projects in ! (despite budget challenges )
RT @jojoclaridge: Today has been a good day. Away from the desk, out on site, seeing schemes making a difference. Visited a passivhaus scheme in our district then onto a review of our whole house improvement programme in lancaster.
