The EUIPO.
The IP Office of the EU.
The Maastricht Treaty laid down the foundation for the EUIPO (at the time, called the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market).
Its main task: the management of a new EU-wide IP right: the EU trade mark (then known as Community trade mark).
#OnThisDay in 1994, the European Union Intellectual Property Office became a reality 🇪🇺
The EUIPO began operating under the umbrella of a newly created Single Market-with handful of employees from 15 Member States.
Today, it is the most innovative IP Office in the world.
More than 4 years of capacity building, knowledge expansion, promotion, dissemination and development of tools and databases to increase legal certainty and transparency.

This is how the new EUTM filing form works.
It will completely replace the 5-Step Form and Advanced Form by the end of November 2022.
