Numbers may be down, but 2254 deaths are too many.
As long as COVID-19 is still circulating, we will keep repeating that vaccination is safe and offers good protection against severe illness, hospitalisation and death.

@EU_Health @PaulGlasziou Interesting overview of the pandemic - helpful to follow the blue line (deaths/week) versus cases to see how that ratio changes, especially in 2022 when vaccination high & omicron dominant. Cases now similar to most of 2021, but deaths are about 1/8th. Why? My guess (in order of contribution): vaccination, omicron, better treatments (and lower case reporting would dilute the ratio).
