EUBAM Libya and participants welcomed the opportunity to gather in Tunis to address this important issue. Representatives of Burkina Faso, Chad, Libya, Mali, Mauritania and Niger agreed in a joint declaration to remain actively engaged on this crucial issue. @natalinacea
The regional conference in Tunis represented a great opportunity for sharing lessons learnt and best practices in cross-border cooperation and management, including valuable contribution that local communities and technology can make to strengthen border management and security.
As such it seeks to highlight that gender based violence is a universal phenomenon which takes many forms across culture, race and class and a violation of human rights. EUBAM Libya supports the campaign. @natalinacea
