The EU asserts that it, rather than the UK government, is responsible for protecting British consumers in Northern Ireland. And we are supposed to believe that it is negotiating in good faith.

Total hero. We are in a cost of living crisis. The steel tariffs have absolutely no justification - some of them cover products that we don't even make here. They have been retained, in defiance of the advice of our trade remedies authority, purely because they poll well.
