The idea of banning visas for Russians is vindictive, counterproductive and stupid. It will not change but entrench Russian public opinion, while also feeding toxic nationalism in the EU. Irish politicians should not support it.

The EU preaches "multilateralism" but what it means is "like-minded partners" forming a little club, making up their own rules & trying to impose them on the rest of the world. That's not multilateralism; it's its opposite. Corruption of language by power & self-interest. Enough!
