Good article by Simon. This is the scheme which got NHS and other relevant public bodies to erase the word “ woman “ from maternity services and introduced us all to “ chest feeding “.

Gender identity enforces sexual stereotypes which I, & other women, have fought all our lives to demolish. Women & men can be anything that they aspire to be. Gender identity is an ideology. Diff from combatting discrimination against trans people, as in the 2010 Equality Act.

Excerpt from my letter to Anas Sarwar: I have always supported ending any discrimination against trans people. However I am also a long-term fighter for women’s rights and safety.
