The Swiss realised soon enough that giving the EU an inch meant years of the Commission trying to grab more and more powers off them. I'd never trust any of our major parties to stand firm against this sort of pressure. We must keep ties cut.

@Otto_English I finished my Masters in EU Law in 2019 I’m well read of pros and cons of being an EU member I’ve also worked in EU Parl - if you want the answers to questions above I suggest you do you own research, I’m no longer a scivvy to EU fanatics who I’ve explained this to 1000s of times

Imagine campaigning for your country NOT to have the right to self determine it’s own laws. #fbpe smack of a defeatist, self loathing, submissive mindset to want to be ruled by unaccountable foreign courts/politicians rather than our own accountable ones.

@Otto_English Brexit just means UK self determining it’s own laws to best suit interests of its citizens - just as most countries do around the world and making our politicians more accountable. Why some Brits are so terrified of this is beyond me.

Brexit meant our politicians are finally accountable. Those used to blaming others for failed policies and broken promises it has been a shock to actually be responsible for our country..they use lazy “safe” internationally pleasing policies instead of charging ahead as directed
