The longer Putin inflicts suffering on Ukrainians the more immune ppl will become to the horror of it. The EU needs to act NOW like the ‘bloc for peace’ it sells itself on and rally around Germany with energy supplies so it can turn its money tap off to Putin.

@baggylondon @GuyVerhofstadt They can of course but 90%?! It is grotesquely unfair to women and children who are stuck in war zones - as opposed to the EU where these young men “flee” from. Vast majority are economic migrants taking the place of genuine refugees. We need to focus on those who need us most.

Saw a rare flicker of the Boris ppl voted for (finally) in past two months. If his new found courage is here to stay I’d far rather see him finish his term and judge him at the ballot box than see a leadership challenge now, I only see more wet wipes in the wings.
