The UK cld have had an asylum system that took the most vulnerable women/children direct from camps, took Yazidis in when needed, protected those who face death. Instead we are a free for all for young men chancing it from the safety France. Shame on ALL in power who allow this.

Re @narindertweets Just because something is the law doesn’t mean it is right or protects those most in need. In law men were allowed to rape their wives not long ago wld you have backed this just because it’s the law?! Some laws don’t work, get abused and need changed.

Re @narindertweets This majority entering Europe illegally now are not akin to Yazidis escaping death. Even the EU has admitted most are economic migrants chancing it. UK has v low bar on asylum eligibility. We don’t have infinite money we must prioritise those most at risk from death.

Re @Alanduncan2469 Alan I’m so glad you responded to this tweet about Yazidis. Their suffering is immeasurable and to think we could have done so much more yet hose £6 million a day on men from France. Imagine what even 10% of this money cld have done for the Yazidis.

Re @narindertweets Can we pls check into reality for a second? We don’t have infinite money, space, housing, infrastructure, mental health care etc to take care of all those less at risk so yes we need to only take worse case scenarios. That is what is was originally suposed to be for!
