Alas you are carefully and purposefully misunderstanding - my comment refers to best use of scarce surgery in the NHS
RT @BridgefordMark: @Baroness_Nichol Thanks, Baroness. For confirming that, in your view, as long as a surgeon isn't being forced into to do something against their principles Trans Rights are Human Rights. Why are you so angry about it?

Not accurately read;nor correctly understood.
And I’m calm as the breeze in the trees! Merely amusing myself

And men need their clubs too…..
RT @Franz_M_W_Marc: @DrKarenzaMoore @Baroness_Nichol Mammals are sexually dimorphic and have been for 255 million years. No male mammal ever has or ever will become a female mammal. Trans Identified Men are men, and need be kept away from everyone really, but especially incarcerated women.

No one is ‘scared’ - why should we be? We are all rightly concerned as we should be by law in Child Safety and Protection.
RT @noodlemaz: @aefondms @AnneUndone1 @Baroness_Nichol Because you're not "concerned" and you haven't "done research", you are scared and angered by trans people existing and using 'children's safety' as a veneer to cover your motive and stop people questioning you. Trans kids exists. Support them or bully them into silence & sadness

Respect the medical profession. Not just claw in supposed Rights which are nothing of the kind originally envisaged post WW1 &2 - as you now see in Kyiv and in thousands of refugee camps globally.
RT @SeptimusSulla: @crashonrepeat @Baroness_Nichol They should absolutely have the right to to do all that. Once they are adults capable of legal medical consent and understanding the full ramifications of those procedures.

I shouldn’t worry about that - PhDs are pretty common these days, but congratulations for the effort you must have put in to gain your treasured letters.
RT @DrKarenzaMoore: @SusanFairweathe @OakTreeLaneN @Baroness_Nichol Thanks Sue, it's pretty galling to be attacked for having a PhD :-D

‘Cis’ isn’t a word. Sorry - try again.@merderkitten
RT @merderkitten: @Baroness_Nichol You mean like facelifts, chest enlargement and all the other "unnecessary" surgeries that cis people get.

Dear friends,
We’ve got there. This tweeter is trapped. Here we have it;an admission that to be a transwoman you must be a man;we now match that with the legal fiction point (virtually unexplained and unknown).
RT @Baroness_Nichol: You have agreed transwomen are men! Now hold on to that reality. t.co/FnbBKty8VP

Dear @61harpy Dr Harpy,
On what grounds are men women? Since to play as a ‘transwomen’ you must be a male born person, how do you recreate your genes to female?
Please explain.Of course I know the legal fiction of the 2004 UK Act but legal fictions do not translate into reality.
RT @61harpy: @Baroness_Nichol The WI does not allow men to be members, but trans women are women. Also, the WI doesn't exclude male speakers.

It’s exactly what ‘trans rights are human rights’ means until or unless you can tell us what enshrined rights are denied to trans persons by UK law and practice.
RT @DrKarenzaMoore: @Baroness_Nichol That's not what 'trans rights are human rights' means, as a Baroness you know this.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/Baroness_Nich

You have agreed transwomen are men! Now hold on to that reality.
RT @SportingNest: @Baroness_Nichol 'Slithering in'.

This just tells us what you think of men.

Trans women are women, by the way.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/Baroness_Nich

I agrée.
RT @psycho_milt: @merderkitten @Baroness_Nichol It's exactly like those other aspects of elective surgery as a business, yes. That is, it's not healthcare, it draws surgical expertise away from where it's needed, it's done for profit at the customer's expense, and caveat emptor - seriously, caveat emptor.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/Baroness_Nich

Absolutely
RT @Charles95684721: @ric_freeman @BiologyLover31 @darkcobrabws @AnneUndone1 @Baroness_Nichol Those surgeries aren’t done to destroy healthy organs and perform sex mimicry and nobody claims they will die if they don’t get a nose job. They are medically unnecessary vanity surgeries not covered by insurance.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/Baroness_Nich

And money. Others with far greater need may be pushed down the NHS queue in favour of non medically required destructive surgery and a lifetime of subsequent health care to ease the pain, mend the broken bones and assuage the early death trauma.
RT @aefondms: @darkcobrabws @BiologyLover31 @AnneUndone1 @Baroness_Nichol It's a matter of weighing benefit and harms, as with all surgery & medical procedures.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/Baroness_Nich

Yes. Agreed.
RT @Redperil6: @merderkitten @junipertierson @Baroness_Nichol It is my business if I am paying for it and if the NHS will shell out money as compensation when people come through their delusion and realise they’ve been mutilated. It’s also immoral - it would be like doing liposuction in an anorexic patient.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/Baroness_Nich

I fully agree with you.
RT @aefondms: @AnneUndone1 @Baroness_Nichol There are degrees of intervention. Having one's genitals removed is a drastic procedure with lifelong implications. This is a way to try and minimise - it's not helpful. Elective limb amputation was stopped in Sco for ethical reasons. Yes, we have to draw a line somewhere.

🐦🔗: n.respublicae.eu/Baroness_Nich

My point is a little different. Mutilation of genitals and destruction of mammalian tissue is a really abhorrent concept for almost all humans since we rely as a race on fertility : making more babies. That’s basic;hence the near universal horror when adults enforce destruction.
RT @ric_freeman: @BiologyLover31 @darkcobrabws @AnneUndone1 @Baroness_Nichol Please provide the "scientific evidential basis" for nose jobs, tummy tucks, breast implants, face lifts, etc. H…
