@tc1415 @JusticeTyrwhit I was just thinking about that. Diplomatic Immunity has basis in the Vienna Convention and has been found to have some limits eg mistreatment of domestic workers. VC says it's for the purpose of enabling diplomats to do their jobs..

@JusticeTyrwhit @tc1415 .. remember that until the early 90s it was thought a husband couldn't be guilty, in law, of raping his wife. The trial judge said, in effect, "this is archaic and I won't apply it." The CA agreed and our understanding of the law changed..
