The UK is awash with dirty Russian money, as well as acting as a financial hub for all sorts of bad actors. It’s corrosive and harmful to democracy at home and abroad.

The ceasefire in Ethiopia is a delicate peace, and the UK Government has a role to play in ensuring it lasts.

Food insecurity could play a large part in destabilising the region again - further aid will be required to help those in need, and head off a return to violence.

❌ In the subsequent autumn statement, the UK Government confirmed spending is not projected to be restored to the 0.7% target until at least after 2027/2028, hugely undermining any notion of ‘Global Britain’.
