It was an honour to meet with Greater Manchester's Hong Konger community for their Winter Solstice fair and to learn about the importance of the solstice in the Chinese solar year.

It’s National Postal Workers Day and I want to thank all postal workers who collect, sort and deliver letters, parcels and packets to 32 million addresses, 6 days a week. Particularly with all they did during the Pandemic.

This year I joined @EnvironmentAPPG as an officer and it has been a pleasure.

Pleased to hear that last week @SheffCouncil led by @SheffLabour accepted the @APPGBritMuslims definition of Islamophobia with a motion proposed by Cllr Abdul Khayum and @Abtisam_Mohamed.

I asked the Govt if they have considered that 14 working days is too long to receive the Cold Weather Payment for households that have to top-up their meters.

I also asked them if they would increase the Cold Weather Payment in line with inflation.

The actions of the Chinese Consul General in my constituency were completely and utterly unacceptable.
