Today, I'm presenting my petition in the House of Commons to stop pavement parking.

Pavement parking is not only an issue for those with disabilities or young children, but encourages speeding and reckless driving in neighbourhoods. It's time the Government takes action.

On Sunday, I attended a civic service at the beautiful Manchester Cathedral to mark the election of Yasmine Dar as the first Muslim and Asian woman to be Lord Mayor of Manchester.

As Manchester's first Muslim Lord Mayor, I was proud to see yet another glass ceiling broken!

It has been 10 years since the campaign to save Fallowfield Library!

Thanks to the hard work of volunteers like Lil, Stuart and others, we've seen library transformed into @ThePlaceM14, a fantastic community hub.
