This evening is the start of Jewish holiday Tu B'Shevat, also known as "New Year of the Trees".

To many, this day is a way to be reminded of the duty to care for the natural world.

It was great to join the @ProjectOrchard in planting a fruit orchard at the @1BMHC today.

Orchards not only provide us with fruit, but they are a haven for pollinators and bees.

It was great to meet with Unison alongside other MPs to celebrate the fantastic work Environment Agency workers do. They are key in keeping us and our environment safe, as well as vital in reaching Net Zero by 2050.

This week, another young life was sadly taken from us due to knife crime.

This afternoon I met with ambulance workers in @GMB_union taking industrial action. I am proud to be a member of a union that supports our frontline workers.

The truth is that the Tories' are letting our NHS heroes and patients down.

They deserve better.
