In plenary, I recalled the importance of women's empowerment and gender equality. We know, for example, that including women in the labor market can increase the EU's GDP per capita by between 6% and 9%, and can create around 10 million additional jobs by 2050.
We need to promote the inclusion of women in sectors where they are under-represented. It makes no sense to continue wasting human capital.
