Indeed, reforming EDES, the EU’s blacklist for fraudulent applicants is a major legislative achievement of this Parliament & our @RenewEurope team 💪
RT @Renew_Press: ➡️@katka_cseh: "The EU finally has a more effective blacklist to exclude fraudulent applicants, and we have achieved more #transparency in the final beneficiaries of funds.” https://t.co/B6oUr4HA8Z

… why do we need a more effective blacklist, you ask? Here’s why 👇
RT @katka_cseh: Orban's son-in-law received 600,000 € EU funds for his agribusiness.
He has a *proven record* of fraudulent applications, concluded by EU's own investigators.
Why on Earth aren't such applicants blacklisted?
Do EU taxpayers wish to fund Orban's family & the richest men in HU? https://t.co/nOM5utBvjv

The @EU_Commission, following up on our recommendations, closed a glaring gap in our existing EU blacklist by including funds that are jointly managed my member states. Such funds make up about 80% of our budget & were not previously covered.
