RT @DavidHenigUK: With regard to Scottish independence and Irish unification my biggest shift is that a previous view I would never …

"Ignore the wogs, let us big ones decide"

This person has been a shill for Russia ever since the break-up of the USSR, a Baltic German descendant, racist in his attitude toward non-Russians advocating a Molotov-Ribbentrop approach to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

That carries Persian goods from Enzeli.
It holds all the nonsense of Asia
And pays no tribute to the Soviet Republic.

RT by @ilvestoomas: We are asking Ukrainians to defeat the armies of Putin and Kim Jong Un. In their efforts to do so, Ukrainians helped bring down Assad. Ukrainian resistance is one of the most stunning military achievements in modern history.

RT by @ilvestoomas: Whoever enables the war in Ukraine to continue has a price to pay.

Today, we adopted the 15th sanctions package, including the shadow fleet, as well North Korean officials and Chinese companies making drones for Moscow.

RT by @ilvestoomas: This horrific photo is just one small fragment of kilometers of mass graves outside Mariupol, taken from a satellite.

It is impossible to convey what the residents of this city had to endure in 2022 - by April Mariupol was practically wiped off the face of the Earth.
Show this photo to everyone who for some reason still supports putin and considers this damn war "necessary".

I visited with the Estonian Mari community to celebrate Mari literacy day every Dec.
Printing symbols with them was much nicer than alone, they recognized way more than I did. :)

Finally, FINALLY, the EU takes this up. A pro-active High Rep who doesn't just make bland statements about "serious concern" about whatever is currently blowing up around the world.@kajakallas is such a step up from what the post has been for 15 years.

RT by @ilvestoomas: Hot take 🚨@alexcrowther1 and I argue in @WarInstitute that the US must negotiate with rebels in Syria (and Libya) to push the Russians out of the Mediterranean. US should use this as leverage to force Russia to make concessions in Ukraine:

RT by @ilvestoomas: This is an excellent piece by @JaharaMatisek and @alexcrowther01 on the strategic importance of seizing the initiative in the Mediterranean. We stand at an inflection point that is fraught with danger and opportunities, so we must move fast to make sure that western interests prevail over Russia.

Yes, the big powers believe only they have agency. GHW Bush didn't want Ukrainian independence, the State Dept in 1991 Spring thought Baltic independence wasn't a good idea and Helmut Kohl was outright against it, as we can see not from his memos.
